Radio Garden is an interactive map of the world featuring radio stations from all over the world. Since late 2016 it has been possible to listen in on currently 7877 radio stations from 159 countries - no matter how great the distance between listener and sender. There exist no geographical or man-made borders for Radio Garden
It is up to you to manually choose which radio station, anywhere in the world, you want to listen to. The green dots on the virtual globe represent the different radio stations. The bird's-eye-view of our planet and the different continents enable you to zoom in on cities and landscapes, rooftops and streets, just like with Google Earth. The highlight however is the great variety of radio stations and radio shows from across the world. We recommend listening in on stations broadcasting in foreign languages!
Radio Garden was developed by Transnational Radio Encounters (TRE), a research project collaboration between Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) and five universities from the United Kingdom, Denmark, and the Netherlands, lead by Dr. Golo Föllmer. Supported by compustore Ulm.
