The elaborate programme – a mixture of outstanding works from the past 50 years and new compositions by younger composers – promises extraordinary events and situations, when the hall and the very building itself are turned into a resonating body for site-specific compositions. It is about that music that wants to affect, about sounds that challenge, compositions that inspire both intellect and senses.
Two premiers are scheduled to breathe life into this idea: one work for soprano (Maria Rosendorfsky) and dispersed saxophones (Dieter Kraus and ensemble); and a grand work which will sound the whole Stadthaus.
The artists’ profile is a mixture of international and regionally based soloists, as well the ensemble-in-residence, the ‘European Music Project’.
Concerts and soloists being planned:
Thursday, 18 February 2021, 8 pm, with Anna Clementi
Friday, 19 February 2021, 8 pm, with Anne Müller, Mathis Mayr, Antonis Anissegos and Janis Pfeiffer
Saturday, 20 February 2021, 8 pm, with the ensemble consord, Hayden Chisholm, Maria Rosendorfsky, Dieter Kraus & Ensemble
